The Falcon 1092 Deluxe Induction

• Induction hobs work by inducing energy (heat) directly into the pans themselves, so cutting out hotplates or gas burners.
• Energy saving – Induction hobs are around 80% efficient, gas hobs are around 40%.(independent trials).
• Precise temperature control which, like gas, is almost immediate. Boil tests show it to be 50% faster than gas.
• The hob itself is cool, although it will pick up heat directly under a pan, resulting in greater safety; spills are easy to wipe away and the kitchen is kept cooler.
• Disadvantages – not all pans are suitable, they need a ferrous content. Check by placing a magnet on the pan base, if the magnet sticks the pan should be ok.
• Please note some sites are stating 'it is the contents of the pan which is heated not the pan itself ', they are totally wrong especially when they put it under a safety heading.
